The Austin Arthur Fernando Sports Trust is a tribute to a great teacher whose name is etched in gold in the hearts of Vazians as one of the most scholarly and erudite teachers who has loving ways, the gift of teaching and a love for sports. This Trust to promote the advancement of sports activities and disseminate knowledge. To assist needy students of St. Joseph Vaz College – Wennappuwa by providing grants in cash and loans including sports gear in order to help them to pursue their sports activities. To provide scholarships to deserving students of St. Joseph Vaz College – Wennappuwa to enable them to pursue courses of study at any university or institute of sports activities in Sri Lanka.
